Who am i
I’m Jorge, a Venezuelan author and screenwriter, currently residing in Cologne, where I've lived for the past five years. My journey has been shaped by the profound intersections of personal and social struggles, particularly as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. These experiences have deepened my understanding of universal themes like identity, loss, and justice, which resonate deeply in my work.
I hold a Master's in Serial Storytelling from ifs internationale filmschule köln, and a Diploma in Film Directing from Escuela Nacional de Cine & UCV. I also earned my BA in Communications from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. My academic background fuels my passion for crafting narratives that reflect the complexities of our world.
One of my recent projects was as the screenwriter for the YouTube series "This is the Ent!" produced by WDR and Quarks & Co. I have been honoured to receive recognition for my work, including being a preselected candidate for the Canneseries Unlimited Program in 2022 with my TV show concept "Bad Nurses," winning the Paris Play Film Festival for Best Short Script in 2021 with "The Seagull," and being selected for EDF’s 'Young Blood' in 2020 with my TV show concept "Mallevs Maleficarvm."
This portfolio is a glimpse into my creative journey, and I invite you to explore the stories that inspire me. Let’s connect and share our narratives—together, we can uncover the truths that unite us.
